Solution To Avoid Exceptional External Links in WordPress

Many times when you read any of the articles you come across many of the external links that are being directed to some or the other sites. It is because when writing a post it is very easy to link any of the external links to any of the word and open it in a new window / tab.

Now sometimes these links are very useful to you and sometimes may not. No doubt you can use any of the plugin to stop following external links but this will not be proved good when you miss some important external link in case. So this article will provide you the solution to avoid exceptional external links in WordPress, keep on reading further.

As usual you need to install and activate the plugin, Follow Nofollow Control plugin, with this plugin you will get four beneficial facilities -

Set all external links are nofollow Set all external links are nofollow except some domain you choose Set all external links are follow Set all external links are follow except some domain you choose

You can set default to all your external links on your posts are follow or nofollow. You can exclude some domains you want.

Steps for Installing and activating the plugin -

1. Download the latest Zip file of the plugin from WordPress.organd install it on your directory.

2. Once you have installed it, it’s time to activate the plugin and after activation a new menu is added to your setting option, i.e. Follow- NoFollow.

After activation now you need to select and write the important and useful links in the “Follow” section of the plugin on the dashboard and select and write the unimportant or unuseful links to “NoFollow” section of the plugin as shown below in the image -

Now after mentioning all the links in the two sections you can select your default option which should be applied ? And finally after setting default value you need to click “Save Changes” button that is been displayed at the left bottom of your dashboard’s present screen. So in this way you can easily now blacklist and whitelist the links according to your requirement.

Internally in your code area the plugin defines the links as “dofollow” and “nofollow” and accordingly works for it as shown in the image given below-
