Why should we use favicons for our website?

Don’t ignore small things or elements just because of they look small, like most of the people ignore
favicon (Favorite-Icon)  because it is considered small & a mere element by them, if you want to represent your website professionally and want to make your website noticeable for your visitors and want to save your visitors time when they are looking for your website and want to boost the credibility, reliability of your website for your visitors and want to give your website an identity in the world of Internet then use a favicon on your website its also known as a shortcut-icon, website-icon, URL-icon, or bookmark icon.

This icon is most commonly 16×16 pixels or 32×32 associated with a particular Web site or Web page, using favicon on your site can save your website’s some bandwidth if you have created a custom 404 file this file will be sent by your web server every time there is a request for a nonexistent “favicon.ico” file, your web browsers display favicons in three places1. In the URL address bar. 2. In a list of bookmarks. 3. On the title in the tabbed browsing.

3. Now click hereto create your own favicon from any image or logo, as you click on the link you will be redirected to a website where you can browse any image from your computer &  generate your favicon, i am using my own image just to demonstrate .

4. Now your favicon is ready,  click on “Download FavIcon Package” & save the file which would be in .zip format & extract the file any where.

5. Now open WordPress admin, click on Settings menu at your left-hand side, then click “All in one Favicon” option, and browse the image with .ico extension which we just created, and hit the save button.
