Send Automated “Thank You Email” After Someone Comments On Your WordPress Blog

By Sanjeev Shrivastava Our Bestseller: WordPress Themes

When I receive “Thank You” email from anyone I feel good. This happens with everyone, who do not wants to be thanked? Everyone in the world wants to be appreciated and thanked for their work. So why don’t you thank your visitors on commenting in your posts. They have given their time on reading your blogs and commenting, so they should be thanked for their time. But If your blog gets too many comments daily then it will be hard for you to thank each and every commenter. Yes it will take a lot of time to send email to all visitors who comment. But you do not need to worry for this you can send AUTOMATED “Thank You” email to all people who comment on your blog.

You can automate the whole process by installing a simple WordPress plugin named “Thank Me Later” in your blog. To download this plugin Click Here.

Install this plugin from your blog’s dashboard and you will see “Thank Me Later” tab below “settings” option in left panel of dashboard. This will look similar to this:

Now click on “Thank Me Later” tab and you will get a screen with default thank you email. You can edit this message or you can create a new email message.

To edit the message click on “edit” and you will be shown a screen like this.

From here you can set sender’s name, sender’s email address, subject of the email message and message body. Write a pleasing thank you message in message body to make users feel good and encourage them to visit your blog again.

To set time after which email will be sent to user, go to “Message defaults” tab under “Thank Me Later” tab in left panel in dashboard. Enter the delay time in specified field. It will give an impression to user that the email is not automated and it is sent manually by you.

Here you can also put some restrictions based on tags and categories. You can also tell this plugin to only send emails to users who are logged in or logged out.

You can also set number of emails that will be sent to a particular email id. Suppose a user comments on your three posts then do you want this plugin to send him three thank you emails or just a single one. Go to “Settings ” option under “Thank Me Later” tab to set Maximum number of messages.

If this plugin gives some trouble or doesn’t works properly then you can check the plugin’s status from “Installation” tab under “Thank Me Later” option.

This plugin gives you a good way to communicate with your commenters. You should definitely try this plugin in your WordPress blog. Also share in comments which “WordPress comment plugin” do you use in your blog
