Sell Digital Products Through Your WordPress Site- Sell Media

I am sure that most of the people who are looking to sell their digital goods online will love this post. If you want to sell your images, pdf files, videos, audio files etc then you can easily do this with a superb free WordPress plugin named “
sell media ”. This plugin offers you a way to sell, license and protect your digital media.

Sell Media is a good option for creative photographers, artsits, content-writers, teachers to organize and sell their content. They can create and choose suitable liscence for their products to sell. If you want to use this plugin in your WordPress site then keep reading.

To download this plugin Click Here. Install it in your WordPress site and activate it. After activating you will see “Sell Media” tab just below “Media” option in left panel of your dashboard.

First of all go to settings option of this plugin to set some necessary things. After clicking on settings you will get four options general, payment, email and misc. Go to each of the tabs and fill all necessary details. Under “General” tab it will ask you to choose your checkout page and thanks page. Checkout page is your sales page from where the user will buy your stuffs and thanks page is the page which thanks users for buying your stuffs. “General” tab looks like this:

Then under “payments” tab you will have to set your PayPal email ID to receive payment from users. Set default currency and then default amount for your product. You can set different amounts for each individual product also. “payment” tab looks like this:

Then comes the “email” tab, here you have to fill details for the email which will be sent to users who will buy your stuffs. This tab has self explanatory options and it looks like this one:

Then under “misc” tab you have option to download extensions of this plugin in order to add additional functionalities.

This plugin also gives you various types of licenses to use with your products. You can create your own license and use it to sell your products. Here are some pre-defined licenses that you can choose for any product just like you choose categories for your posts in WordPress.

You can add new item by clicking on “ add new ” tab under “ Sell Media ”. Here you will have to upload the file you want to sell and if the file is too large then upload it somewhere else and give the URL to this plugin. From here you can set price for each individual products.

This wonderful plugin also allows you to add new collection, keywords, and licenses. You can directly view total earnings from “ payment ” options. You can also see overall report from “ reports ” option. Report will show you break down of your sales on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Let’s have a look on some of the exciting features of this plugin:

Create private collections and display image metadata. Shortcodes to display the Checkout page, thanks page, purchase button and search form. Images will be stored in a folder that isn’t web accessible hence it offers you more security. Create licenses and assign different prices to each individual files.

You can further extend the functionality of this plugin by installing extensions. Extension will be charged a small fee. Currently three extensions are available:
